AEGD Dental Program Resident

Swope Health’s AEGD Dental Residency Program provides residents with clinical and educational experiences with an emphasis on comprehensive dental care in a community health environment.

Requirements

• Satisfactorily completes requirements for competency for the AEGD Dental program and fulfils the training objectives for the program
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to meet the patient’s physical, psychosocial, educational and safety needs
• Provide and manage comprehensive patient focused care that is coordinated by the attending Dentist for a wide variety of patients
• Documents patient history, examination findings, diagnosis, treatment planning utilizing electronic health record
• Examines patient to determine nature of condition, utilizing x-rays, mouth mirrors, explores and other diagnostic procedures and instruments
• Educates patients and families on oral healthcare
• Attend Departmental Meetings, Departmental Training
• Performs other duties as assigned
