Job Description
Symetra is looking for a Manager of Investment Financial Reporting to join their Investment Accounting and Reporting Team. The role involves overseeing GAAP and Statutory investment accounting reporting, managing a team of investment accounting professionals, and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency in all accounting and reporting processes.
Requirements
- Public accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm strongly preferred)
- Insurance and/or investment accounting experience or exposure (strongly preferred)
- A proven track record of strong critical thinking and innovative problem solving
- 5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years leading or supervising teams
- Understanding of GAAP and Statutory accounting for investments, including Blue/Green Book reporting
