Senior Network Engineer/Architect

Senior Network Engineer to support a major enterprise network transformation initiative for a large government organization, providing architectural direction, hands-on engineering expertise, and executive-level support during a pivotal transition within Network Operations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in network engineering within large enterprise or service provider environments.
• 3+ years operating in a lead engineer or network architect capacity.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Juniper networking platforms (MX, EX, QFX, SRX) and Junos OS.
• Strong command of advanced routing protocols, particularly BGP, including policy control and route optimization.
• Significant experience designing and operating MPLS-based networks and enterprise-scale VPN architectures.
• Demonstrated expertise in performance optimization and Quality of Service (QoS) design for real-time traffic environments.
• Advanced experience with next-generation firewall platforms, including centralized management and policy governance.
• Proven ability to support high-availability, mission-critical network infrastructure.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities in production environments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders.
