Job Description
Syms Strategic Group is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, experience in complex software projects, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results. The role involves developing and executing test plans, conducting tests, and supporting analysis of test results.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
- Experience in both manual and automated testing
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, test scripts, and test plans
- Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools
- Familiarity with version control systems
- An understanding of performance testing and tools
- Experience with defect tracking and management tools
- Knowledge of database and SQL for validating stored data
- Experience in testing web applications, APIs, and services
- An understanding of security testing practices and tools
- Experience with different types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and UAT
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
