At Synechron, we harness the power of digital transformation to drive business success. We are hiring a DevOps Engineer to support and enhance our cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD ecosystem for financial trading applications.
Requirements
- Work within AWS to deploy, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure
- Manage and support Linux and Windows-based systems
- Maintain and improve Kubernetes clusters and Helm deployments; deploy and scale containerized applications in OpenShift
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, and BitBucket
- Customize pipelines to fit project requirements, ensuring compliance with established policies
- Integrate Nexus Repository Manager for artifact storage
- Automate container builds using Docker
- Work with engineering and DevOps team to report gaps, suggest improvements, and align on best practices
- Develop and maintain automation and configuration using Ansible
- Contribute to infrastructure automation and templating; experience with Terraform is an advantage
- Set up and maintain monitoring and observability systems
- Investigate incidents, analyze system metrics, troubleshoot and improve system performance, reliability, and stability
- Enforce security standards, integrating SAST/DAST scanning tools
- Manage secrets and credentials in HashiCorp Vault, or similar tools
- Support and improve integrations with Cloudflare and MongoDB
- Collaborate with development teams on application deployment, performance tuning, and best practices for cloud-native services
- Work with cross-functional teams (Dev, Infrastructure, Security) to ensure seamless operations
- Participate in operational support, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify and resolve project-specific bottlenecks in build, test, and deployment processes
- Optimize OpenShift resource usage for cost efficiency and performance, including implementing auto-scaling and self-healing for high availability
