Technical Support Engineer - Optics role at Synopsys, supporting customers and channel partners with Ansys Optics and Photonics product family, delivering high-level technical support, and developing deep technical expertise in simulation areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Optics, Photonics, Opto-Electronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; MS preferred
- Solid understanding of photonics and optical physics, or closely related engineering fundamentals
- Solid grounding in simulation techniques and engineering principles, with exposure to optics/photonics software and customer support or application-oriented problem solving
- Hands-on experience with Ansys software or other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, or PLM software is preferred
- Knowledge of Python scripting; knowledge of machine learning basics is advantageous
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time
