Job Description
SA-TECH, a department of the U.S. Army's Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWCAD), is seeking CNC Machinist positions. They specialize in range operations and maintenance and support diverse military programs. The role involves all facets of machining, from programming to operation of CNC equipment, and requires a strong commitment to safety and team collaboration. A high focus on quality and customer satisfaction is valued.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Formal trade school, college, or military training school (highly desirable)
- Mix of conventional and CNC machining experience, along with knowledge of GibbsCam or other common CAD/CAM programs required
- Full command of various machining processes including milling, turning, grinding, and plating
- Proficiency in mathematics and ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, dial caliper
- Forklift experience and/or 3D printing experience (a plus)
- Ability to train other employees on machine shop equipment and operations
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Must be able to work in a Machine Shop and be insured under company policy
