Senior Mechanical Technician

Senior Mechanical Technician position at SA-TECH to support program efforts and contribute to success at the West Desert Test Center, a major DoD Test Facility. Key responsibilities include calibrating, operating, and maintaining mechanical test equipment, fabricating and welding test fixtures, and utilizing various instrumentation.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least three (3) years' experience in the calibration, operation, maintenance, fabrication, and repair of mechanical test equipment.
• Must be familiar with building exhaust systems and as a minimum, be able to perform high-level preventative maintenance, including replacement of worn belts; greasing of bearings; repair of fans, blowers, and discharge stacks; and adjustment of volume dampers and hood baffles in test fixtures.
• Must be proficient in the design, fabrication, and welding of test fixtures.
• Current Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
• U.S. Citizenship required and you must have a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to hire date and maintain this clearance throughout employment.
