Senior Research Engineer

This Senior Research Engineer role involves performing specialized, technical research and development activities in areas like data analysis, modeling, and software development, supporting strategic goals and providing guidance. The engineer will also contribute to business development, manage contracts, and work with customers, as well as collaborate with a team to develop IP and new products. Reporting to a Principal Research Engineer and providing engineering management support, the position is key to driving innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree with 6-8 years of experience, Master of Science Degree with 3-5 years of experience or Ph.D. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering or Applied Mathematics or equivalent field.
• Proven technical ability and experience in relevant field of Modeling and Simulation, dynamics and controls theory or related discipline/field.
• Strong skills with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or equivalent.
• Experience with stability and control system design and assessment.
• Experience in the aerospace industry required. UAS / UAM experience a plus.
• Extensive flight test experience and skillset for assessing vehicle performance.
