Senior IT Specialist/Networks

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior IT Specialist/Networks to support management, engineering, operation, and technical expertise for activation, operations, maintenance and engineering of equipment, systems and computer programs in support of all Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) missions and projects performed at SCSC.

What You Will Do

Install and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and cabling. Maintain compliance with DoD Security Technical Configuration Guides (STIGS). Monitor network performance. Respond to trouble calls, isolate, and correct performance issues. Maintain network drawings. Maintain training and certification for currently deployed technologies.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering or similar degree. OR one of the following certifications: CompTIA Cloud+, CompTIA Security+, GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), etc.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering or similar degree
• Active DoD Secret security clearance
• U.S. citizenship
• Reliable transportation to and from various work locations on base
• Ability to communicate with supervisor and/or manager when not in the office
