Network Engineer Senior (Security) – TS/SCI required

Role Overview

As a Network Engineer Senior (Security), you will play a crucial role in supporting the INSCOM mission by installing, configuring, and maintaining customer network infrastructure and security stack. You will troubleshoot networking and security protocols/technologies and provide expert-level (Tier 3) network security engineering support for INSCOM activities in the National Capital Area.

Install, configure, and maintain customer network infrastructure and security stack. Troubleshoot networking and security protocols/technologies. Analyze, plan, and implement access control lists (ACL), firewall policies, and other logical security controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience or Master's Degree with 10 years of experience
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communications skills and ability to interact with both clients and teammates
• Experience with configuring, integrating, and troubleshooting security appliances in a multi-vendor federal enterprise environment
• Experience with the behavior of routing protocols in Next Generation Firewalls
• Experience with Network Automation tools, scripting languages, or Infrastructure as Code tools
• Intermediate knowledge of F5 BIG-IP deployment and configuration with Local Traffic Manager and Application Security Manager
• Hardening network devices in accordance with STIGS/NIST and industry best practices
• Experience with packet analysis tools such as TCPDump and Wireshark
• Experience working in a large SDLC environment
• DoD 8570/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager
• Cisco Certified Network Professional – Security
• Cisco Certified Network Professional – Enterprise
• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer
