Plant Technician-Operations

Talen Energy is looking for a Plant Technician-Operations with a minimum of vocational training and/or mechanical experience and prefer candidates with five (5) years' power plant experience. The position reports to the Shift Supervisor and is located at the Talen Energy H.A. Wagner facility in Baltimore, MD. The expected salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually.

Requirements

• Ensures that appropriate safety procedures are followed
• Operates, performs regular preventive maintenance, troubleshoots, tests, and makes rounds taking regular readings as required to maximize asset value
• Assists in training and development of other employees in performing preventive maintenance and routine equipment service activities
• Practices situational leadership, safety, and environmental stewardship
• Assists with equipment or system problem identification and recommends solutions
• Assists with developing/modifying operating procedures for plant equipment to ensure consistent and safe operation
• Assists in requisitioning parts and supplies
• Performs other duties as required
