Job Description
Talen Energy is seeking a Senior Reactor Operator In Training to assist in the safe and efficient operation of the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station in Berwick, PA. The successful candidate will participate in the station's Licensed Operator's Training Program and complete the training and testing required to earn a Senior Reactor Operator's (SRO) license. The position involves supervising activities of licensed operators, monitoring plant operation, and responding to system or unit abnormalities.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year or more as an Active Reactor Operator or Senior Reactor Operator
- BS degree or equivalent in engineering, engineering technology or related sciences, or a professional engineering license
- Total responsible nuclear power plant experience greater than 18 months for a comparable facility
- Satisfactory physical and mental condition
- Special requirements: Hold a senior operator's license for the unit(s) assigned
- Meet the requirements of ANSI/ANS 3.1 - 2014 for Senior Reactor Operator and REG Guide 1.8
