Occupational Therapist - Pediatric Outpatient Clinic

The Occupational Therapist position reports to the Location Lead and requires a self-starter who is dedicated and passionate about providing therapy. The ideal candidate is passionate about the therapy they provide and is able to work effectively with children who may exhibit behavioral, emotional, or sensory regulation challenges.

Requirements

• Perform patient care and related activities in accordance with best practice/evidence-based practice guidelines
• Communicates effectively with patient/family/therapists/physicians and other health care professionals to promote quality patient care
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries, ethical conduct, and confidentiality at all time
• Ability to work effectively with children who may exhibit behavioral, emotional, or sensory regulation challenges
• Maintains a current awareness and participates in office quality activities
• Have a working knowledge about Sensory Integration, Visual Training, Sensory Feeding Therapy, Handwriting, Fine Motor, Reflexes, Therapeutic Listening
• Ability to adhere to safety protocols and infection-control procedures
• Ability to assist patients with transfers, positioning, or mobility as appropriate
