Job Description
Tanner Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Layton, Utah. Responsibilities include patient care, vital signs, obtaining authorizations, assisting with procedures, maintaining confidentiality, and managing organizational tasks. A Medical Assistant certification for a Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Assistant is required.
Requirements
- Current documentation of a national certification for the registered medical assistant (RMA) or for the certified assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
- CPR certification preferred.
- Current health records with appropriate immunizations for working in the health care field.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
- Knowledge of health care field and medical office protocols/procedures.
- Knowledge of specific assisting tasks related to particular medical practice.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff.
