The Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Starship is a national service for children requiring intensive care. Registrars will work a shift roster (days and nights) and be supervised by senior medical staff at all times. The unit is an accredited training unit and has an active education program.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a registrar (or equivalent internationally) in relevant areas is desirable
- Eligibility for general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) is essential
- Registrars who are undertaking training with the following colleges are highly encouraged to apply: College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM), Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA), Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP – Paediatrics), Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM)
