Gibraltar Mine is seeking a Superintendent, Environment to lead site-wide environmental management, monitoring, and regulatory compliance programs. The role is responsible for ensuring that environmental obligations are met while supporting operational excellence and proactive environmental stewardship.
Requirements
- Act as a visible safety and environmental leader, promoting compliance and accountability across the site.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental permits, approvals, and regulatory requirements (provincial and federal).
- Oversee surface water, groundwater, hydrometric, ML/ARD, air quality, reclamation, and environmental monitoring programs.
- Lead regulatory inspections, audits, and agency engagement activities.
- Manage environmental data systems and ensure data quality and traceability.
- Support environmental aspects of mine planning, capital projects, and operational changes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop environmental coordinators, technicians, and contractors.
