The Senior Lecturer - Events Management and Technology will be responsible for teaching and research in the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Events. Key responsibilities include teaching and learning, research, and administration. The successful candidate will possess a doctoral degree in Tourism/Events Management or a related field and have relevant industry experience.
Requirements
- Possess a doctoral degree or equivalent from a recognised university in Tourism/Events Management
- Candidate with Master Degree in Tourism/Events Management must have at least 5 years working experience in events management industry
- Preferably with scopus h-index 3
- Graduated at least 1 Master Degree student
- Publication in C.I. journal (ISI, SCOPUS) in the last five (5) years with at least 3 publications
- Secured research grant(s) as a Principal Investigator worth at least RM20,000
- Experience working in higher education environment and a track record of teaching experience and professional knowledge of curriculum development or good record of professional experience with evidence of coaching and mentoring and a high quality of presentation skills
- Experience in developing teaching methodologies and materials, including the effective use of IT technologies in the facilitation of teaching and learning
- Experience working on research projects and activities or experience of professional practice/consultancy work, including evidence of appropriate outputs
