Temporary Laboratory Officer

The incumbent will be part of a dynamic team providing technical and laboratory support for teaching and research in Taylor's University.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in science (e.g. microbiology, applied chemistry, applied biology)
• At least 2 years of working experience, preferably in an educational institution
• Ability to understand and interpret written material of a fairly technical nature
• Good organization skills
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to communicate well, in English, with staff and students in a courteous and professional manner
• Ability to follow safe laboratory practices
• Knowledge and ability to operate computer and software applications
• Manual dexterity
• Strong sense of responsibility
• Good team player and flexible
• Courteous, calm and focused
