As an Electrical Engineer, you will provide support for existing programmable DC power supply and high voltage product lines, modify existing designs to meet custom requirements, and assist Sr. Engineers in new product development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university/advanced degree or certificate
- More than three years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience)
- Understanding of basic power supply design including magnetics, control loop design, and standard topologies.
- Understanding of various safety standards related to power supply products.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following software: LTspice, OrCAD PSpice, MATLAB/Simulink, or Mathcad.
- Understanding of various power semiconductor technologies.
- Familiarity with PCB design.
- Understanding of EMC issues relating to high frequency switching and associated industry standards for compliance.
- Good communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, function generators, AC sources, Electronic loads etc.
- Any work experience on high voltage products with output voltage greater than 1 kV is a plus.
