Lab Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as the Lab Manager of our ISO 17025 accredited High Voltage test laboratory located in Fuquay-Varina, NC. This pivotal role involves overseeing the operations and management of our laboratory facilities, leading a team of technicians and engineers, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Coordinate scheduling of resources and tests to maximize lab utilization while meeting project deadlines and communicating them to (primarily internal) customers.
• Lead and mentor a team of technicians and engineers, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
• Manage inventory of testing equipment, including procurement, maintenance, and retirement planning.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, implementing necessary policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with audits such as ISO 17025.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to ensure successful project completion.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to drive continuous improvement.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistency of test results.
• Review test data and reports to verify compliance with project requirements and specifications.
• Continuously assess and improve testing procedures and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
