As a Materials Planning Analyst III, you will support the planning department and participate in meetings, creation of jobs, and splitting of materials according to requirements. You will determine quantity and order date for materials, initiate purchase or production requisitions, and develop production facility schedules based on forecasts and historical analysis.
Requirements
- Independently develop and maintain schedules for product lines using MRP system tools.
- Prepare data and graphs to support the global S&OP process and drive continuous process improvements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams and project teams on scheduling customer production and project builds.
- Analyze plant capacity for one or multiple plants and manage product conversions and new product introductions independently.
- Coordinate production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules to maintain production and provide input to management.
- Interface with purchasing, production, material handling, quality control, marketing, technical manufacturing, and customer service to review execution to production schedules, build plans, and status of back order and other potential schedule interruptions or rescheduling.
- Work to resolve labor or material shortage issues.
- Implement and maintain the use of visual planning boards in the plant.
- Read and understand job travelers, blueprints, diagrams, and other technical procedures, instructions, and correspondence.
- Understand the MRP system.
