Mechanical Design Intern

Teague is an independent design consultancy that combines technology expertise with a deep understanding of human behavior to design what’s next for companies in various industries. As a Mechanical Design Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting the design and development needs of our clients while working alongside experienced engineers and designers.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Exposure to 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks through coursework, projects, or personal experience.
• Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes gained through academic study.
• Familiarity with creating 3D models, assemblies, and basic technical drawings in a CAD environment.
• Interest in product development, aerospace interiors, or complex engineered systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based, multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced design environment.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Strong communication skills and ability to present ideas or project work clearly.
• Prior internship, academic project, design competition, or maker experience is a plus but not required.
