Job Description
We're looking for a Senior Python Developer to join a central Government Service in London, England, working on website software development for the Digital Marketplace.
Requirements
- 3 years experience as a python developer
- 2 years experience developing web applications in Python
- Experience of pair programming
- Experience of working in an agile team
- Ability to quickly research and learn new programming tools and techniques
- Familiarity with working practices such as TDD, continuous integration, continuous delivery and DevOps
- Awareness of HTTP, databases, backups, CDNs and search, and of Unix-like operating systems
- Basic understanding about web security
- Experience of using testing to validate solutions
- Current / most recent role mainly uses Python rather than other programming languages
- Current / most recent role mainly as a developer rather than a manager
