Meter Reader

Meter Reader is responsible for accurately reading and recording the usage of electric, gas, steam, and water meters, playing a crucial role in ensuring the efficient utility service delivery to customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the sustainability and reliable operation of community's essential utilities.

Requirements

• Inspect meters for damages or defects
• Inspect, collect and document readings from company meters
• Check equipment for damage, faults, unauthorized equipment or third-party connections
• Activate or deactivate meters as instructed
• Communicate with customers to gain access to meters
• Valid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID Act or willing and able to obtain
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Regular, dependable attendance
• U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations
