HGV Technician

HGV Mechanics / Mechanical Fitter Technicians / Electrical Fitters required to join part of a global business operating in the defence industry, building and supplying Military Vehicles to the British Army. Responsibilities include final assembly of armoured vehicles and sub-assemblies, fault-finding, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs, and supporting training and knowledge sharing across teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic / Mechanical or Electrical Fitter
• HGV Mechanic Certification City and Guilds / NVQ or relevant Electrical Qualification
• Level 3 Diploma in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (desirable)
• Vehicle assembly or maintenance experience
• Understanding of technical documents
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Knowledge of production processes and procedures
• Understanding of quality, safety, and environmental systems and processes
• Knowledge of legislation and regulations
