Cad Technician

We are seeking a CAD Technician to join our team at our Jackson, Michigan facility. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2–3 years of 3D CAD experience in a manufacturing environment using SolidWorks, combined with at least 2 years designing weld fixtures. Strong working knowledge of GD&T, the ability to read CMM reports, and familiarity with standard shop equipment and welding processes are essential.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of 3D CAD experience in a manufacturing environment using SolidWorks
• Minimum 2 years of experience designing weld fixtures
• Excellent working knowledge of GD&T required
• Ability to read and understand CMM reports
• Ability to generate a bill of materials (BOM)
• Knowledge of standard shop equipment and manufacturing processes, especially welding
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Windows
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact with suppliers, customers, and other team members
• Self-managing and able to work toward completion dates and goals as assigned
• Ability to multitask and work in high-pressure situations under deadlines
• Ability to provide technical feedback on potential design risks and product performance issues
