News Editor

We're TechnologyAdvice, a remote-first company that helps B2B tech buyers manage the complexity and risk of the buying process. We're looking for a News Editor to join our team, responsible for editing and writing news content across our digital media properties.

Requirements

• Five years of experience writing and editing news, ideally in the B2B space or covering technology in a newsroom environment
• Working familiarity with technology products and vendors and how they impact governance, ethics, consumer and enterprise needs, etc...
• Experience working with generative AI tools for writing and editing
• A portfolio demonstrating writing and editing proficiency
• Superior copyediting and proofreading abilities and a strong familiarity with American English spelling conventions
• Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to engage with highly experienced writers and freelancers
• Superb research skills and a strong desire to learn, investigate, and problem solve
• The ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines, manage time well, and edit a high volume of high-quality work
• Knowledge of Google News and Google Discover publishing platforms and experience writing and editing for them
• Eagerness to collaborate and a willingness to learn
• Must have a working laptop/pc and internet and back-up connection
