Dir of Bioinformatics Engineering

Our client is a leader in biological data science, developing pipelines, tools, and frameworks to advance scientific discovery and improve human health outcomes. The team is composed of experienced bioinformaticians, computational biologists, and engineers with deep expertise in genomics, biology, and software development.

Requirements

• Masters degree or PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, or a related field or equivalent hands-on experience
• Proven track record of managing technical teams and delivering complex bioinformatics projects
• Advanced proficiency in Python (additional experience in R, Rust, or similar languages is a plus)
• Experience with NGS data processing, analysis pipelines (e.g., Nextflow, Snakemake), and standard file formats (e.g., BAM, VCF)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain complex scientific and technical concepts
• High standards of scientific and technical excellence with a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset

Benefits

• Total compensation range: $225,000 to $255,000 plus bonus and equity
