Sr. Advanced Mechanical Engineer

The Sr. Advanced Mechanical Engineer will lead advanced mechanical system design for next-generation outdoor products, responsible for developing, analyzing, and maturing complex mechanical systems for tools. The role focuses on transforming early concepts and emerging technologies into robust, feasible mechanical solutions through advanced analysis, prototyping, and testing.

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical or related Engineering disciplines
• 5+ years of experience in product advanced engineering, concept maturation, or innovation in consumer products, automotive, or adjacent industries
• Strong proficiency with 3D CAD (Solidworks, NX, etc.) and rapid prototyping
• Excellent mechanical design fundamentals with experience in mechanisms, gear design, structures, engineering materials, and manufacturing processes
• Proven track record of overseeing and evaluating the design of consumer products from start to finish
• Ability to couple first-principles analysis with advanced tools such as FEA, CFD, and AI/ML to guide mechanical design
• Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages of development simultaneously
• Work with a high degree of autonomy, leadership, and proactivity
• Willingness to travel ~5-10% (domestic/international)
• Experience with measurement equipment for vibration & sound is a plus
• Experience with Rapid Prototyping (varying materials and processes)
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems (ex. motors, microcontrollers, batteries)
