The Process Development Engineer is responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes to support new and existing product lines. This role focuses on identifying and implementing capacity improvement opportunities, conducting yield analysis, and leading yield improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and workflows.
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability analysis.
- Familiarity with Gauge Studies and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
- Familiarity with calibration processes and industry standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with flexibility to support tasks beyond the Quality department as needed.
- Willingness to travel 5–10% to supplier or customer locations.
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and datum structures.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- Familiarity with metrology and inspection methods, including contact and optical CMMs, handheld tools, and electronic test instruments.
- Knowledge of audit processes and requirements.
- Awareness of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls and best practices.
- Familiarity with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
