Temple University's Institutional Advancement Department is searching for a Major Gift Officer - Athletics. The successful candidate will devise strategies and be responsible for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship with the purpose of advancing donor levels and closing major gifts for Athletics.
Requirements
- Executing 15-20 substantial face-to-face visits a month and a combination of annual and major proposal goals based on portfolio value and tenure.
- Goal of 24 major gift proposals delivered and/or 100 annual proposals delivered.
- Manage a portfolio of 75 donors and prospects with a focus of soliciting and closing major gifts at the $50,000+ level, special gifts, and leadership level annual Gifts(Conwell Level+).
- Identify and qualify prospects, engage and cultivate current and prospective donors, and steward donors.
- Create, track and run necessary Annual Giving reports and stats on a weekly basis.
- Responsible for logging metric and contact information into the University system.
- Motivates administrators, coaches, staff, and volunteers to participate in the development process and solicitation of gifts.
- Assists in the execution of special events and staffing of volunteer groups.
- Oversees specific giving initiatives, events, and projects with the purpose of donor acquisition, portfolio building, and donor participation.
