Senior Software Engineer, Cloud Growth

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our high-impact team focused on product scalability, customer experience, and revenue growth. You’ll lead technical direction and build systems that directly impact Temporal’s revenue engine and customer journey.

Requirements

• Significant experience designing and delivering production-grade backend systems (ideally in cloud environments) with meaningful ownership over architecture and operational outcomes.
• Strong proficiency in at least one systems/backend language (Go preferred), with the ability to navigate large codebases and drive technical decisions.
• Demonstrated experience building and operating distributed systems: concurrency, reliability, scaling, consistency, and failure handling.
• Practical understanding of data pipelines and storage systems (e.g., Postgres, Redshift, Kafka/Kinesis, S3-like systems) and how to ensure correctness and traceability
• Experience with production operations: observability, incident response, performance tuning, on-call readiness, and continuous delivery.
• Ability to work effectively across functions (Finance/RevOps/Sales/Support), translating ambiguous requirements into clear, executable technical plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write design docs, align stakeholders, and explain tradeoffs.
