Medical Assistant (MA)

Provide direct nursing care in a medical office setting, assist medical providers, and maintain a clean and safe environment. Assist with patient assessments, documentation, and medical procedures.

Requirements

• Adhere to the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
• Support the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
• Assist in the assessment of patient needs and health plan.
• Administer prescribed oral medications and give intramuscular and subcutaneous injections.
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Comply with established personal protective equipment requirements.
• Arrange for specialized consultations and appointments.
• Answer office phones and assist with scheduling appointments.
