The Radiology Technologist - Advanced provides radiographic imaging services to patients, operates imaging equipment, and maintains department equipment and supplies. The technologist will provide care to patients of all ages, maintain quality assurance and performance improvement activities, and comply with regulatory laws and protocols.
Requirements
- Assumes responsibility for the care and safety of patients undergoing medical imaging studies
- Properly confirms the patient's identity, verifies physician orders, and obtains relevant patient history
- Responsible for safe handling of equipment
- Educates and explains procedures to patients to prepare patients for medical imaging procedures
- Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors
