Security Officer responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, patients, physicians, students, vendors and visitors. Demonstrates exceptional customer service and provides assistance with emergencies, personal protection and traffic/parking control.
Requirements
- Communicates security status, updates, and actual or potential problems, using established protocols.
- Responds to emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms, etc., following established emergency response procedures.
- Functions as a primary point of contact for the installation of physical security systems within assigned facility.
- Utilizes knowledge of security-related equipment and technologies to strengthen hospital operations.
- Plans, coordinates and assists, if needed, in security for special and high-risk events.
- Reviews and makes necessary recommendations for changes based on applicable standards, regulations, and requirements of Federal, State and local agencies.
- Complies with safety universal precautions, and hazardous material policies.
- Conducts monthly checks of duress and intrusion alarms
- Attends all Safety and Risk Management Committee meetings.
- Participates in/Assists with coordination of quarterly infant/child abduction drills.
