Job Description
The surgical first assistant provides aid in exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative technical functions, under the direction and supervision of the surgeon.
Requirements
- Ensure appropriate equipment is available
- Review permit to confirm procedure
- Assist in moving and positioning patient
- Provide assistance throughout the procedure in a variety of surgical techniques
