Mammography Technologist Contingent Days

Performs diagnostic Mammographic exams, verifies patient identity, and acquires images as per script. Recognizes and responds to medical emergencies and provides imaging education to residents and new employees.

Requirements

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Mammography (M)
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BLS) training
• Analytical and clinical skills
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Technical knowledge to operate equipment
• Ability to work productively and effectively in a complex environment
• Knowledge of American College of Radiology and MQSA requirements for accreditation
• Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting and positioning of patients
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate imaging equipment
