Performs diagnostic Mammographic exams, verifies patient identity, and acquires images as per script. Recognizes and responds to medical emergencies and provides imaging education to residents and new employees.
Requirements
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Mammography (M)
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BLS) training
- Analytical and clinical skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Technical knowledge to operate equipment
- Ability to work productively and effectively in a complex environment
- Knowledge of American College of Radiology and MQSA requirements for accreditation
- Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting and positioning of patients
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate imaging equipment
