Job Description
Performs diagnostic Mammographic exams, verifies patient identity, and reviews medical history. Interviews patients, explains procedures, and acquires images. Recognizes and responds to medical emergencies and provides post-care instructions. Participates in process improvement activities and provides imaging education to residents and new employees.
Requirements
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Mammography (M)
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BLS) training
- Analytical and clinical skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Technical knowledge to operate equipment
- Ability to work productively in a complex environment
- Knowledge and understanding of American College of Radiology and MQSA requirements for accreditation
