Performs diagnostic radiological exams, verifies patient identity, reviews patient medical record, and acquires images as per script. Recognizes and responds to medical emergencies, provides post care instructions, and participates in process improvement activities.
Requirements
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography (R)
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training
- Analytical and clinical skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Technical knowledge to operate equipment
- Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment
- Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate and utilize all types of x-ray equipment and supplies
