Job Description
Perform diagnostic radiological exams, verify patient identity, and review medical records. Interview patients to obtain medical history and assess risk factors. Explain procedures and risks to patients and provide post-care instructions. Participate in process improvement activities and provide imaging education.
Requirements
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography (R)
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training
- Analytical and clinical skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Technical knowledge to operate equipment
- Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate and utilize all types of x-ray equipment and supplies
