Mechanical Engineering Manager (Teradyne, North Reading, MA)

Teradyne is seeking an accomplished Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead mechanical engineering for its Silicon Photonics organization in North Reading, Massachusetts. The successful candidate will own execution of the mechanical engineering platform strategy, guide teams from early concept through released products, and develop a high-performing engineering organization operating in a fast-paced, global environment.

Requirements

• Experienced leader with a minimum of 5 years managing engineering teams or in a technical leadership role
• Proven track record taking complex, multidisciplinary products from concept through release and into volume manufacturing
• Strong mechanical systems background in complex products, ideally with semiconductor, optical instrumentation, or test equipment experience
• Skilled communicator and collaborator — able to influence across functions and time zones
• Comfortable in matrixed environments with program or project management experience and supplier engagement
