Design Engineer

Design Engineer to provide expert product design leadership and develop new conveyor designs. Responsible for the accuracy and successful delivery of product design projects, design, prototype, assess and review mechanical components and assemblies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, ideally with design experience in the heavy equipment design.
• Minimum of three years of work experience in conveyor design.
• Competent user of 3D Solid Modeling CAD, ideally CREO and familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) systems
• Experience with Autocad
• Good technical expertise in mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Diligent approach to the design and development process
• Material research experience and development of processes for products especially welding, profiling and other fabrication techniques.
• A good understanding of the various applications that the equipment can operate in along with an appreciation for the expected performance of the machines.
• Creativity and innovative thinking
• Experience with an ERP system is a plus
• Good English communication skill, both written and spoken;
• Good Presentation and interpersonal skills.
