The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, logistics, and personnel supervision. This role requires strong leadership skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
- Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements, monitor usage patterns, and generate reports for management review.
- Develop warehouse operations by determining product handling and storage requirements and implementing and evaluating standard operating procedures.
- Plan and execute efficient inbound and outbound logistics activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping of materials and products.
- Coordinate transportation arrangements with third-party carriers and freight forwarders to ensure on-time delivery while minimizing costs.
- Monitor shipping documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements for hazardous materials transportation.
- Design and implement layout strategies to maximize space utilization and facilitate efficient material flow.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement best practices for warehouse safety, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Conduct regular inspections of warehouse facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and address potential safety hazards.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations and industry standards related to warehouse operations, including environmental regulations and quality management systems.
- Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including material handlers, forklift operators, and administrative personnel.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the warehouse team.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and productivity.
- Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and warehouse productivity.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
- Demonstrates product and component knowledge.
- Support the company mission, vision, goals and objectives and is an advocate for the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
