Lead Decision Scientist

The Lead Decision Scientist will be responsible for driving CI culture, implementing CI projects and innovation for the team, and engaging with business & functional partners to understand business priorities and scope analytical solutions.

Requirements

• Perform miscellaneous duties as required by management
• Drive CI culture, implement CI projects and innovation for the team
• Engage with business & functional partners to understand business priorities and scope analytical solutions
• Have in-depth understanding of techniques to prepare analytical data sets leveraging multiple complex data set sources
• Build statistical models and ML algorithms with practitioner level competency
• Write structured, modularized & codified algorithms using Continuous Improvement principles
• Build easy visualization layer on top of algorithms to empower end-users to take decisions
• Proactively drive consumption of solutions developed by the team and own the initiative to identify and address areas of improvement in the larger Tesco business
• Keep up-to-date with the latest in data science and retail analytics and disseminate knowledge among colleagues
• Mentor and lead a small team of Applied Data Scientists to deliver high impact analytics projects
