The Lead Decision Scientist will be responsible for driving CI culture, implementing CI projects and innovation for the team, and engaging with business & functional partners to understand business priorities and scope analytical solutions.
Requirements
- Perform miscellaneous duties as required by management
- Drive CI culture, implement CI projects and innovation for the team
- Engage with business & functional partners to understand business priorities and scope analytical solutions
- Have in-depth understanding of techniques to prepare analytical data sets leveraging multiple complex data set sources
- Build statistical models and ML algorithms with practitioner level competency
- Write structured, modularized & codified algorithms using Continuous Improvement principles
- Build easy visualization layer on top of algorithms to empower end-users to take decisions
- Proactively drive consumption of solutions developed by the team and own the initiative to identify and address areas of improvement in the larger Tesco business
- Keep up-to-date with the latest in data science and retail analytics and disseminate knowledge among colleagues
- Mentor and lead a small team of Applied Data Scientists to deliver high impact analytics projects
