Backend Engineer

Role Overview

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend services using modern frameworks and architectures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and functionality.

What You Will Do

Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability through code refactoring and infrastructure improvements. Implement and manage APIs using RESTful and/or GraphQL standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in backend development with a strong focus on system design and performance
• Proficiency in at least one major backend language (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, Go, or Ruby)
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation
• Strong understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) and caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis)
• Knowledge of security best practices, including authentication/authorization (OAuth, JWT), encryption, and secure coding
• Proficient in version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies
