Job Description
The Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) is seeking an Assistant Editor to join their Communications Division. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, or Technical Editing/Writing, and 2 years of related work experience. The position involves editing technical reports, designing and formatting documents, and providing expertise in Microsoft Word. The salary range is commensurate, and the job offers a hybrid remote option with two days in a TTI Texas-based office.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, or Technical Editing/Writing
- 2 years of related work experience
- Ability to use the English language with precision, clarity, and correctness in both written and verbal communication
- Familiarity with editorial styles, including but not limited to Associated Press Stylebook and The Chicago Manual of Style
- Proficient in use of word processing, email, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
