Texas A&M University–Texarkana seeks a tenure-track faculty member in Reading to contribute to undergraduate and graduate educator preparation programs through teaching, research, and service.
Requirements
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in reading and literacy education
- Prepare teacher candidates to implement evidence-based reading instruction aligned with the Science of Teaching Reading (STR) and Texas certification requirements
- Design and deliver instruction using evidence-based literacy practices in face-to-face and online environments
- Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, including those pursuing advanced certification
- Maintain an active, productive research agenda leading to peer-reviewed publications
- Present research at regional, national, or international professional conferences
- Collaborate with EC–12 partners to support literacy instruction, assessment, and intervention initiatives
- Contribute to program development, assessment, and accreditation efforts related to reading and literacy
- Participate in service activities at the department, college, university, and professional levels
- Pursue professional growth aligned with tenure and promotion expectations
- Comply with university policies, accreditation standards, and educator preparation requirements
