Registered Nurse Inpatient PICU

We are in search of a Registered Nurse for the PICU at Main Campus for NIGHTSHIFT. The ideal candidate will excel in fast-paced learning with dynamic flexibility in a critical care setting. This position encompasses direct nursing care to critically ill patients, while ensuring safety and comfort, within our family centered care model.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or an associate’s degree, technical diploma, or current enrollment in a nursing bridge program
• Current licensure with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas or Nurse Licensure Compact and BLS American Heart Association certification
• 9 months of professional nursing experience
• Ability to demonstrate positive and appropriate interpersonal skills
• Good time and resource management skills
• Flexibility
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to operate unit specific equipment
• Knowledge of the nursing process, critical thinking skills, PALS, ACLS and interdisciplinary collaboration
