Job Description
We're searching for a Sterile Processing Educator to provide education and administrative support for unit operations at the best ranked children's hospital in Texas, and among the best in the nation.
Requirements
- Ensures the design, implementation, and evaluation of a unit-based orientation process
- Designs, implements, and evaluates annually, a unit-based orientation pathway for each job
- Individualizes the unit-based orientation pathways to meet the specific learning needs of staff
- Acts as a role model in building supportive and collaborative work relationships with new employees
- Reviews and discusses with orientee and manager the orientee's progress at least weekly
- Coordinates and conducts required training
- Implements a unit-based plan for advancing competence of staff on all shifts/campuses that results in improved performance
- Coordinates the unit-based experience for students
- Participates in the Quality Outcomes Program and/or unit-based quality initiatives to educate staff and monitor outcomes
- Provides administrative support for unit-based operations
